DU SUJET AU GROUPE DANS LA RENCONTRE INTER/TRANSCULTURELLE
Suite aux journées d’études EATGA du 4 et 5 mars 2022 à Palerme, nous proposons à l’ensemble des membres de l’Association un moment d’élaboration commune de l’expérience, sous forme d’une « rencontre scientifique ». Ce moment de réflexion a pour but, d’un côté, de restituer aux un.e.s et aux autres quelque chose de cette expérience, en particulier aux membres qui n’ont pas pu être présents lors des journées ; de l’autre, de réélaborer ensemble l’expérience et réfléchir autour des points forts et des points faibles du dispositif proposé : en quoi a-t-il favorisé ou pas une rencontre inter/transculturelle ?
En effet, pour la première fois, nous avons travaillé dans un dispositif expérientiel transculturel de groupe avec une autre Association, le CISS, avec une histoire, une culture et une pratique différente de la nôtre. Nous avons invité les participant.e.s à réfléchir sur un certain nombre de questions et d’hypothèses : « de quelle manière nos appartenances culturelles influencent-elles le lien inter- et transculturel et son rapport à l’Altérité ? Comment penser les frontières entre individu/groupe, culture/cultures, ici/là-bas/ailleurs, terre/mer, homogène/hétérogène qui se posent dans l’approche et la rencontre transculturelle ? ».
A Palerme nous avons proposé pour ce faire une pluralité de dispositifs groupaux, alternant espace de parole et d’expérience – exposés, grand groupe, petits groupes, sociodrame, table ronde – à travers lesquels nous avons essayé d’interroger ensemble ce qui favorise ou, au contraire, empêche la rencontre entre personnes/groupes appartenant à deux (ou plusieurs) cultures.
La rencontre scientifique aura lieu à Budapest le 1er octobre 2022. Elle sera structurée en trois temps et aura une durée de 3H30.
Un mois avant la rencontre, tous les membres recevront les textes des conférences présentées lors des journées de Palerme et les restitutions des personnes ayant pris des notes lors de la table ronde conclusive. Nous invitons tous les membres d’en prendre connaissance et de les lire avant notre rencontre.

BOUNDARIES : FROM THE PERSON TO THE GROUP IN THE INTER/TRANSCULTURAL ENCOUNTER
Following the EATGA study days of 4 and 5 March 2022 in Palermo, we propose to all the members of our Association a moment of joint elaboration of the experience, in the form of a “scientific meeting“. The aim of this moment of reflection is, on the one hand, to give back something of this experience to the members, in particular to those who could not be present during the days; on the other hand, to re-elaborate the experience together and to reflect on the strong and weak points of the proposed setting: in what way did it enabled or not an inter/transcultural encounter?
Indeed, for the first time, we worked in a group transcultural experiential setting with another Association, the CISS, with a different history, culture and practice from ours. We invited the participants to reflect on a number of questions and hypotheses: “How do our cultural belongings influence the inter- and transcultural bond
and its relationship to Otherness? How can we think about the boundaries between individual/group, culture/cultures, here/there/elsewhere, land/sea, homogeneous/heterogeneous that arise in the transcultural approach and encounter?
To do this, we have proposed in Palermo a number of group settings, alternating spaces for discussion and experience – presentations, large group, small groups, sociodrama, round table – through which we have tried to question together what favours or, on the contrary, prevents the encounter between persons/groups belonging to two (or more) cultures.
The scientific meeting will take place in Budapest on 1 October 2022. It will be structured in three stages and will last 3.5 hours.
One month before the meeting, all members will receive the texts of the conferences presented during the Palermo days and the reports of the people who took notes during the concluding round table. We invite all members to read them before our meeting.
1 -Introductory plenary session (1h): associative exchange around the different themes that emerged and personal impressions.
2 – Small thematic groups (1h15): we will form three small groups that will work, in parallel and with the help of a moderator, on the different issues that emerged during the Palermo days. In particular, we would like to reflect together on three aspects of the setting : the encounter with the CISS, as a “cultural other”; the linking of the various working spaces (presentations, large group, small groups, sociodrama, round table) and its relation to the processes that emerged; the work of co-conducting and tuning within these spaces. Notes of the exchanges will be taken for the restitution in the concluding plenary session.
